Is Marc a professional hunter?

Only in the sense that he does derive revenue from his hunts on DVD. He is not a PH in the traditional meaning of the term.

What was it like working for CNN and why not FOX News Channel?

Marc's support of guns was never an issue at CNN, and when Marc became a broadcast journalist there was no FOX News Channel.

What's with the cowboy hat and Western wear?

Marc has been a cowboy ever since he was a kid. He's always ridden horses, loved rodeos and lived in Texas for many years. As a news reporter he wrote extensively about cowboys and Indians and their impact on how the West was settled. His hat is a Stetson and he wears Luchese cowboy boots.

What person has had the biggest influence on Marc?

His parents. His mom is Indian, and she jokingly credits herself with Marc's stalking and hunting skills. His father, who used to make Marc shoot with a single shot 16- gauge shotgun credits himself with his son's one shot accuracy.

What does his trophy room look like?

It's a medium sized trophy room. Marc calls it his man cave. It's located in Michigan at his ranch, about 90 mils from his main house in Chicago.

How did Marc get into hunting?

His dad took him pheasant hunting when he was six-years old. Marc has been hooked on the outdoors ever since. In 1994 while on assignment with CNN, Marc got hooked on Africa safari hunting.

Marc looks up to Craig as a legendary icon. In fact many of Craig's books formed the basis of Marc's early instruction on safari hunting.

Yes there are about a dozen of them in the U.S. Marc used to joke that there are only enough for a basketball team. Now he says there are enough for a football team!

What does Marc do to stay in shape?

He got in shape as a sophomore in high school and has stayed in shape ever since. He does a lot of bicycle riding, spinning and light weight training.

What does Bwana Moja mean?

It means Mr. One Shot. A group of Zambian trackers gave Marc this nickname in 2004. The wording is Swahili.
